I wish I could tell you exactly what I did but I simply do not remember and was just ragefully clicking and unclicking every application option and graphics box until it worked. I was able to get all the games to work after doing this. Then I found which settings the virtual machine ran the games on and then changed them manually in the PC. One thing that I think played a part in it working finally was that I downloaded used a virtual machine to run the games first. Okay, I had this same problem and I couldn't use any of the online resources to help so I basically just messed with every setting in the file options until it worked.
